List of things home owner needs to do before move

• Remove TV antennas or any satellite dish.
• Remove window air conditioners and flower boxes.
• Remove pictures and items from walls.
• Ensure that items in drawers, racks or shelves are secured or removed.
• Pack all freestanding lamps and secure all items that cannot be removed.
• Secure all windows. Storm windows should be treated as separate windows.
• Secure all interior doors, including appliances. Hinged or sliding doors should be blocked. Tape or tie cupboard doors between handles to hold them closed.

What you cannot ship in your home

• Hazardous materials.
• Gas bottles, oil barrels and similar materials.
• Ammunition.
• Concrete blocks.
• Pets, Fish, etc.
• Outside air conditioning or heat pumps.
• Outside TV dish.
• Valuables.
• Any items left inside the home must be approved by Paragon Transportation.

You may leave other items in your home if approved by Paragon Transportation, but remember overloading during the move of your home can contribute to problems such as buckled or popped panels, blown-out tires, bent wheels, warped frames and damage to other component parts of the undercarriage.
